Let’s honor and celebrate the moms, care givers, youth workers, and all the special women around the world working to make a difference with yoga.
1. Kim Katrin Milan
“I like to say that doubt is an opportunity to be present in the gifts that you bring to this world.
So in those moments, I talk to myself in the same way that I talk to Soleil. I run through the all of the things I love about myself, things that have nothing to do with what I produce and everything to do with who I am. She reminds me what to let go of, and keeps me focused on the now.
Balance has looked like teaching yoga wearing my daughter, letting her giggles inspire the room to relax. For my personal practice, I have let go of structure and instead share my mat with her. It makes movement playful and intuitive; I am constantly amazed by her openness. It means late nights, early mornings and the deepest breaths I have ever taken.
I tell her everyday that I am lucky to be her mother, that she has truly made me into the best version of myself. She is literally the sun, and my universe has been remade with her at the center.” – @kimkatrinmilan
“like branches on a tree,
we all grow in different

yet our roots remain as one.”- @_monette
3. Magdalena Patterson
“I know this first hand: kids don’t really give a damn what you tell them, but they sure copy what you do. The more I do yoga and meditate, the less reactive I am. Meditate and being able to mindfully listen to others has been my main goal, especially now as a mother. -@theyogamomlife
4. Pilin Anice
“What a divine gift it is to be a mother! With all its challenges, nothing brings me more joy and pure love or is more rewarding! I give thanks daily! Happy Mothers Day to Mothers everywhere!!” -@pilinanice
5. Rossana Isabel Layana Muguerza
“The best yoga partner in the world!” -@lalayanarous
6. Shakira Akabusi
“As water reflects the face, so does one’s life reflects the heart. Proverbs 27:19” -@shakira.akabusi
7. Cat Gieser
“Motherhood is damn hard and when you’re juggling so many things it’s a challenge to remember that you are only human and you can’t do it all. Some days it’s being 100% focused on the kid(s) and fam and other days you’re off being a boss lady. I feel extremely lucky to have an incredible support system around me to allow me to wear all the hats that I do, but today I really just want to be mama.”-@catgieser
“Life is simply fantastic with Jeya!! She is my guide, my teacher and my magical prop to even go deeper into the movement. Mother’s Day is a party since she came to my life!”-@ohmat
